VADA Annual Convention & Meetings

Alan R. Mulally 
President and Chief Executive Officer

Alan Mulally is president and chief executive officer of Ford Motor Company and a member of the company’s Board of Directors. Prior to joining Ford in September 2006, Mulally served as executive vice president of The Boeing Company, and president and chief executive officer of Boeing Commercial Airplanes. In that role, he was responsible for all of the company’s commercial airplane programs.

Alan Batey is the newly-selected Vice President of Sales & Service for Chevrolet. Alan came to Chevrolet from his position as Executive Director - Sales, Marketing and Aftersales at GM Holden, Ltd in Australia. Previously he served as Vice President of Commercial Operations for GM Daewoo. Alan began his career with General Motors in 1979 when he joined Vauxhall Motors in the United Kingdom as a mechanical engineer apprentice.

Bob Carter is group vice president and general manager of Toyota Division at Toyota Motor Sales (TMS), U.S.A., Inc. He is responsible for overseeing all sales, logistics and marketing activities for Toyota, Scion and Central Atlantic Toyota Distributors. Prior to his current position, Carter served as group vice president and general manager of Lexus. He joined Toyota in 1981 as a warranty processor.
